LACONIA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 30, 2024 2:00 PM BELKNAP MILL, THIRD FLOOR 25 BEACON STREET EAST, #1 LACONIA, NH AGENDA GOALS SETTING SESSION WITH MAYOR, CITY COUNCIL, CITY MANAGER AND CITY DEPARTMENT HEADS. Council participants: Councilor Cheney, Councilor Soucy, Councilor Hoffman, Councilor Haynes, Councilor Bogert, Councilor Felch. Absent: Mayor Hosmer Department Head participants: Kirk Beattie, City Manager, Glenn Smith, Finance Director, Matt Canfield, Police Chief, Tim Joubert, Fire Chief, Wes Anderson Public Works Director, Katie Gargano, City Clerk/Tax Collector, Rob Mora, Planning Director, Amy Lovisek Parks and Recreation Director, Deann Hunter, Library Director, Ben Crawford, Water Superintendent, Joe Gray, Code Inspector, Tara Baker, Assistant Assessor. Also present: Sally Tanner and Rick Alpers of Primex Primex facilitated the work session beginning with laying out the ground rules and the goals of the session. Prior to the session the City Council and City Manager were given the task of coming up with 3 goals. We started with going over everyone’s goals one at a time and categorizing the goals, we then broke out into groups to discuss the goals and come up with what needs to happen, when does it happen and who does it to make it happen. The groups presented their 3 objectives for each category and Primex will be compiling a report and sending it to the City Manager. The session ended at 4PM.
