CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING February 7, 2025 - 2:00 pm Laconia City Hall, Room 200B 2/7/2025 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Councilor Soucy, Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Councilor Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Councilor Robert Soucy (Chair), Councilor Bruce Cheney and Councilor Mark Haynes were in attendance. A quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager was present. 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS 6.A. Approval of Appointments Subcommittee minutes of August 20, 2024 A motion was made by Councilor Cheney to approve the minutes of August 20, 2024. The motion was seconded by Councilor Haynes. The motion was approved unanimously. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions The Subcommittee members interviewed one applicant, Stephen Walsh, for appointment to the Water Commission. A formal recommendation to the full City Council may be made at the February 24, 2025 City Council meeting. 8. Any other business that may come before the Committee 9.
