Minutes were approved by the Appointments Subcommittee at their 7/31/2025 meeting. CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING APRIL 30, 2025 - 3:00 P.M. Laconia City Hall, Room 200B 4/30/2025 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Councilor Soucy, Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm. 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Councilor Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Councilor Robert Soucy (Chair), Councilor Mark Haynes and Councilor Bruce Cheney were in attendance. A quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager was present. 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS A motion was made by Councilor Soucy to approve the minutes of March 14, 2025. The motion was seconded by Councilor Haynes. The motion was approved unanimously. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions The Appointments Subcommittee members interviewed the following applicants: Ethan Wood - Requesting appointment as a regular member of the Trustees of the Trust Funds. Rod Roy - Requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Parks and Rec Commission. Jim Rogato - Requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Laconia Putnam Fund. Marjory Wilkinson - Requesting reappointment as a regular member on the Heritage Commission. John Moriarty - Requesting reappointment on the Library Board of Trustees. Jennifer Kreitzer - Requesting appointment as a regular member on the Conservation Commission. Bruce Kneuer - Requesting reappointment as an alternate on the Library Board of Trustees. A formal recommendation to the full City Council may be made at an upcoming meeting.  Jennifer Kreitzer - Requesting appointment as a regular member on the Conservation Commission.
