Minutes were approved by the Appointments Subcommittee at their 11/25/2025 meeting. CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING July 31, 2025 - 1:00 P.M. Meeting Room 200B, Laconia City Hall 7/31/2025 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Councilor Soucy, Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm. 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Councilor Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Councilor Robert Soucy (Chair), Councilor Mark Haynes and Councilor Bruce Cheney were in attendance. A quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS A motion was made by Councilor Soucy to approve the minutes of April 30, 2025. The motion was seconded by Councilor Haynes. The motion was approved unanimously. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions The Appointments Subcommittee members interviewed the following applicants: Arthur Kirk - requesting reappointment to the Parks and Rec Commission as a regular member. Richard Boddie - requesting appointment as a regular member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Deborah Williams - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Conservation Commission. John Tracy - requesting appointment as a regular member of the Water Commission. Warren Clement - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Downtown TIF District Advisory Board Lois Kessin - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Heritage Commission. Michael Argiropolis - requesting appointment as an alternate on the Library Board of Trustees.  Board Lois Kessin - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Heritage Commission. Michael Argiropolis - requesting appointment as an alternate on the Library Board of Trustees. Lisa Morin - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Conservation Commission. Aaron Bassett - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Parks and Rec Commission. Charlie St. Clair - requesting reappointment as a regular member of the Downtown TIF District Advisory Board. A formal recommendation to the full City Council may be made at an upcoming meeting. 8.
