Minutes were approved by the Appointments Subcommittee at their 3/20/2026 meeting. CITY OF LACONIA - APPOINTMENTS SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING FEBRUARY 11, 2026, 7:00 P.M. LACONIA CITY HALL, ROOM 200B 2/11/2026 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Councilor Soucy called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm 2. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Councilor Soucy led the Salute to the Flag. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary 4. ROLL CALL Councilor Robert Soucy, Councilor Mike Conant, and Councilor Jon Hildreth were in attendance. A quorum was established. 5. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Nancy Brown, Recording Secretary and Administrative Assistant to the City Manager. 6. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS A motion was made by Councilor Soucy to approve the minutes of February 5, 2026. The motion was seconded by Councilor Conant. The motion was approved unanimously. 7. Interviews of individuals interested in being reappointed or appointed to the City's Boards and Commissions The Appointments Subcommittee interviewed the following applicants: Debra Cheney - requesting appointment as a full member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Bruce Cheney - requesting appointment as a full member of the Planning Board. Gregg Hough - requesting appointment as a full member of the Planning Board. 8. Any other business that may come before the Committee Motion made by Councilor Hildreth to nominate Councilor Soucy as the Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, seconded by Councilor Conant. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. The next Appointments Subcommittee meeting will be on March 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm in Room 200B. 9. ADJOURNMENT  Motion made by Councilor Hildreth to nominate Councilor Soucy as the Chair of the Appointments Subcommittee, seconded by Councilor Conant. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. The next Appointments Subcommittee meeting will be on March 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm in Room 200B. 9. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 pm.
