Call to Order (Roll Call) (6:00 PM)
Commission Members: Dean Anson, Marnie Schulz, Lisa

a. Review of the January18th, 2017 minutes
b. Lisa makes a motion to accept the minutes.

Lisa needs to recuse herself from the discussion with T.F. Moran.
Discussion takes place about the parcel of land that T.F. Moran wants to develop. Patrick Woods
give an explanation of what the project will consist of and how it relates to the Conservation
Commission. The architect gives Marnie an explanation of what the houses layout will be on the
inside. The architect explains the building phases of the project. Above ground restriction on
antennas? Dean is concerned about someone building on the northern lot and would the
development preclude the hypothetical incoming development. Mr. Danforth gave a brief
explanation of the Wetland CUP and related info. He explains what the CUP is for and where the
wetlands for. The engineer explains what the drainage system will be and how it will treat the
storm water runoff. Is the site going to be a low or no salt area? Is the previous permit available
for T.F. Moran? Dick also brought up a new bill that is related to antennas that is going through
the state government that developers should be aware of.
Lisa talks about a meeting the WWN has had about publications about milfoil and other related
materials. Lisa would like to have the milfoil subcommittee to do a letter to the editor for the
Laconia Daily Sun about Laconia’s milfoil issue.
Dean has volunteered with John Edgar to help with water quality testing. LRPC has put together
a 319 plan.
Conservation Commission would like for John Rokeh to come in and talk about the progress of
Christmas Island.
Dean goes over the notes from the meeting of the Laconia Water Board, NHDES, City of Laconia
City Manager, and Conservation commission about the topic of milfoil control in Paugus Bay.
Rain barrels need to be finished at Tardiff Park after the snowstorm.
Brownfields meeting next Wednesday and a contractor will be there to make a recommendation
to the board to approve operations. 126 Church Street for future address. Old laundry site on
Opechee Street. Check to see if planning has access to sanborn maps to find facilities that used to
be laundry sites.
Lisa asks if Conservation Commission would have a panel on correspondence for listing of
organizations such NHACC that Conservation Commission belongs to.
Deborah wants the Conservation Commission to know that she will not be doing the summer
education program that she usually participates in. She will still apply for the NHL grant.

o T.F. Moran wishes to develop the abandoned Shaker Hill development site for a new 85
residential unit cluster subdivision and is applying for a Wetland C.U.P. to develop parts of
the property that have wetlands on them
