Downtown TIF Advisory Board

9/25/2024 - Minutes 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order to at 9:02am 2. Roll Call Charlie St. Clair and Warren Clement were in attendance. 3. Recording Secretary Savanna Brunelle, Admin Assistant 4. Staff in Attendance Tyler Carmichael, Assistant Planner 5. Acceptance of Minutes from Previous Meetings Minutes were accepted as presented. 5.1. Draft Minutes 6. New Business 6.1. Bridge Loan Payment There was discussion about the bridge loan payment. Staff will try to get a more detailed payment from Finance. 7. Old Business The beautification of Meredith was discussed. W. Clement suggested looking into how much it cost the town. W. Clement also discussed lighting the Downtown area. New Spectrum Lighting helped map out where the light could be hung. The committee expressed interest and were in favor of moving forward with that project. The committee also discussed putting cameras downtown for insurance purposes for the new lighting. The TIF proposed to pay for these cameras. C. St. Clair suggested incorporating banner poles for this lighting project. There was a discussion about the extension of the WOW trail. Staff and DPW are looking into the extension. W. Clement showed articles from UNH that talk about revitalizing Main St in surrounding towns and cities. There was discussion about how to bring these ideas to Downtown Laconia. The TIF proposed funding for a Master Plan for the downtown area. C. St. Clair discussed the Historical District Committee and getting that back up and running. 8. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 10:03am.
