CITY OF LACONIA HERITAGE COMMISSION Wednesday, January 10, 2018 MINUTES I. CALL TO ORDER: J. Whitehead called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. II. PRESENT: J. Whitehead, C. Tokarz, D. Duffy, M. Hoey ABSENT: M. Boudman STAFF: D. Wood (recording the meeting) III. MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting on December 14, 2017 were reviewed. D. Duffy made a motion to approve the Minutes. C. Tokarz seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously. IV. ELECTION OF NEW CHAIRMAN: C. Tokarz made a motion that J. Whitehead be appointed Chairman. D. Duffy seconded the motion, and it was approved unanimously. V. CITY COUNCIL LIAISON REPORT: None VI. PLANNING BOARD UPDATE: D. Duffy passed out a brief summary of the Minutes of the Planning Board Meeting on December 12, 2017 and also the agenda for the meeting on January 9, 2018. She said that the Agenda and Minutes can be checked on-line at the City of Laconia website. VII. OLD BUSINESS: A. Area Studies/Photography. Taking pictures is on hold until the snow is gone. B. Property Restoration Recognition: A list of the Front Porch Awards was discussed as possibilities for recognition by the Heritage Commission. This item was tabled. C. Tokarz will research the properties on the list and give a report at the next meeting. C. St. Joseph’s Church: C. Tokarz said there was nothing new. D. Duffy said she had heard that the property was still on the market with stipulations. VIII. NEW BUSINESS: None IX. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None X. ADJOURNMENT: C. Tokarz made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by M. Hoey. The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
