LACONIA AIRPORT AUTHORITY 65 AVIATION DRIVE GILFORD, NH 03249 RECORD OF SPECIAL MEETING Thursday, February 7, 2019, 4:00 PM Airport Terminal Conference Room 65 Aviation Drive, Gilford, NH _________________________________________________________________________________ Present: Chairman, Ed Engler; Treasurer, Bill Moran; Selectman, Dale Chan Eddy; Commissioner, Dave DeVoy; Authority Member, Russ Dumais. Absent: Vice Chairman, Karmen Gifford; Authority Member, Paul Gaudet, Jr.; Authority Member, Bob Glendening; Authority Member, Dale Crumb. Meeting Minutes: Chairman Engler opened the meeting at 4 p.m., noting that there were five board members present, constituting a quorum. I. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation, Bureau of Aeronautics has offered a grant for the following project: SBG-09-14-2018 Construct, Mark, Drain, Light, and Sign Taxiway E Extension (approx. 2,230’ x 35’); Expand Itinerant Aircraft Parking Apron (approx. 5,904 SY) and Associated Drainage System; Improve Drainage System for Runway 8-26 – Phase II (construction phase services) The Bureau of Aeronautics requests the Grant Agreement be executed by the airport sponsor – Laconia Municipal Airport - and returned to the NHDOT, Bureau of Aeronautics, to be submitted to the Governor and Council for approval. The total cost of the project is $2,972.892.00. The Federal Aviation Administration covers 90%, or, $2,675,602.00. The Laconia Municipal Airport is responsible for 5% of the total cost of the grant agreement, or, $148,645.00, and the NHDOT, Bureau of Aeronautics 5%, or, $148,645.00. MOTION: Upon a motion by Mr. Moran, seconded by Mr. Eddy, authorization was given for the Chairman of the Laconia Airport Authority, Ed Engler, to sign the grant offer SBG-09-14-2018, to Construct, Mark, Drain, Light, and Sign Taxiway E Extension (approx. 2,230’ x 35’); Expand Itinerant Aircraft Parking Apron (approx. 5,904 SY) and Associated Drainage System; Improve Drainage System for Runway 8-26 – Phase II (construction phase services), by a vote of five (5) “Yes”, and zero (0) “No”.
