Laconia Putnam Fund Board of Trustees Meeting February 2, 2018 This meeting was called to order on February 2, 2018 at the Woodside Commons located at the Taylor Community at 12:00 pm with the following in attendance: Linda Peary, Rich Landry, Jim Rogato and Betty Ballantyne. Guest attendance: Larry Frates PROGRAMS: Generational Art – Larry Frates proposed Art & Paint sessions inclusive of 14 classes with various school aged children and adults with the end results to be shown at the Belknap Mill – Arts Alive. Themes to be generated will include City locations, history or events. Larry will approach the T Elementary Schools, Senior Citizens complexes and the Laconia’s public. Linda Peary made a motion to approve the program and Rich Landry did seconded the approval with all in favor. AF David Brody, Author of Cabal of the Westford Knight – The approved program will be held on March 19, 2018 located at the Woodside Commons at the Taylor Community at 7 pm. Shirley Austin Reeves of the Shirells & Jay Segal with the Tokens Oldies Show: The approved program will be held at Laconia Middle School on April 15, 2018 at 7 pm. Jeff Levitan of Northeast Radio did submit and discussed with Jim and Betty his wishes to provide more than $1,200 of radio advertising, R social and digital marketing for the show for a mere $150. His conditional proposal was to be allowed to hang radio handle of 92.9 Oldies Station at the show, two seats and a photo opportunity with the Artist. (Obviously we will make this request to the Artist with no promises). His co-sponsorship is D minimal to the pricing of the show but does still pose as a benefit to marketing the show. Am sure his Radio will advertise the Co-Sponsorship. We collectively will minimally advertise 92.9 Radio with the poster and newspaper ads. Miscellaneous: A discussion regarding signage for the programs has come up again. We currently have signage more appropriate for the outdoors. It is more suitable with fencing likely found at Rotary Park. It was suggested we reach out to Ryan Lemay of SYMPATICO for a proposed pricing and art work. We do want two screens which can be retractable and mobile. Betty will reach out to Ryan. With no further discussion to come before the board, the meeting was adjourned at 1:05 pm. Respectfully submitted, Betty Ballantyne
