Board of Trustees Meeting
April 6, 2018
This meeting was called to order on April 6, 2018 at the Woodside Commons located at the Taylor
Community at 12:00 PM with the following in attendance: Linda Peary, Rich Landry, Jim Rogato and
Betty Ballantyne. Guest Ryan Lemay of SYMPATICO.
MISCELLANEOUS: Ryan Lemay of SYMPATICO attended today’s meeting. He completed the assigned
Signage for the Putnam Programs. He presented the three signs with LED lights along instructions for
their set up.
Banner: It was agreed upon the Show Banners will be stored at Jim Rigato’s place of business Sawyers
Jewelry, hence access for all Board Members.
Invoices: Multiple invoices were presented for the Board to collectively sign and approve.
Facility Co-Ordinator: Peter Johnson is our contact person. He oversees the Laconia School District as
the Facility Co- Ordinator. His phone contact is 603-393-5710.
APRIL 14, 2018 – Recap was discussed for this upcoming show with Shirley Alston Reeves and Jay
Siegel. Charles will be at the school at 8:00 am and has asked for assistance with the setup. Linda and
Betty will make themselves available to assist in the morning. Doors open at 6:00 pm for the
audience and the show is at 7:00 pm. The Rockin Daddios will be their pre-opening act. Police and
the Facility Co-Ordinator has been notified of the upcoming acts.
Arts Alive, The Multigenerational and 125th City’s Anniversary: Larry Frates did reach out to Betty
notifying the Board of it’s visit from NH Chronical. Charles, Linda and Betty will attend the event at
noon on Monday, April 9th at the Belknap Mill.
Fall Agenda: We are still in discussion for Fall 2018 line up. September will be Mary Wilson of the
Supremes. We have not secured Programs for October, November & December.
PROGRAMS:
Richard Wood and Gordon Belsher: Violinist & Guitarist located from Prince Edward Island. We
collectively agree to have them perform. A local residence recommended them. Their fee will range
from $1200 to $1700. It is a matter of coordinating their timing in the US. It will not work for this
coming Fall. Betty will reach out to them to see if we can secure next Spring or the following Fall.
Drop Kick Murphy’s: Some discussion although it went no further.
David S Brody – Author: Let’s have him back again. His program in March at Woodside Commons was
an excellent success. We hope to have him next Spring with the timing of St Patrick’s Holiday to
discuss St Bernard – Irish Monk. Betty will reach out to him to request another showing.
Mary Wilson of the Supremes: A final contract is in negotiation with Charles. The contract fees
inclusive of the act, band, lights and sound inclusive of the travel buyout and food buyout is expected
to be at $23,700. Extra expenses will be overnight accommodations for two nights and advertising.
Seraphim Afflick, Vocalist: She is being considered for this Fall’s Program. Jim will reach out to her.
MC Lars: He is still in process.
With no further discussion to come be fore the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 1:10 pm.
