Laconia Putnam Meeting Tuesday, June 11, 2024 This meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, held at Laconia City Hall, 25 Beacon Street E #1, Laconia, NH with the following in attendance: Jim Rogato, Linda Peary, Betty Ballantyne, Janet Brough, and Joanie Mercer. MINUTES: The May 14, 2024 minutes were approved by Betty Ballantyne and seconded by Janet Brough with all in favor. TREASURER’S REPORT: Linda Peary presented the following: As of July 1, 2024 we will have $100,318.73 for our 2024-2025 season. Even with our deduction from the three fall shows that will be coming out of this total, we are sitting at a good place financially at this time. Betty Ballantyne approved the report and Joanie Mercer seconded it, with all in favor. NAME TAGS: Janet Brough has ordered our new name tags and they are in the mail. Her reimbursement expense is $42.56. HOLOCAUST SPEAKER: Linda has made contact with Kati Preston from Barnstead, NH and would be delighted to give a 60 minute talk on her experience with the Holocaust with time for questions. Her charge is $300, and with that cost, we will be looking at two performances, one at the Opera House and will check with Steve Tucker if this would be a good fit for the High School or Middle School. We agreed that the week of April 24, 2025 would be our target date. Betty will reach out to Adam at the Laconia Daily Sun in hopes of another collaboration along with the Laconia Library. Tech Requirements: Jim has already emailed Julie as to receive tech information for fall events. Expecting to hear back from her before the next meeting. Positions/Duties For Board Members: All agreed on the following: Secretary-Joanie Mercer will take over the minutes Treasurer-Linda Peary will continue in this role PR-Janet Brough-facebook and instagram Betty Ballantyne-newspaper print and posters Chair-Jim Rogato will continue in this role Other Business: 1. Justin Folger, Scriptless in Seattle, improv group - decision was made to not take any further action at this time, thinking it is not a good fit for us. 2. Gordon Belcher & Cynthia Macleod - Need space between their performances but enjoyed them and would look at them in the future. 3. Betty will contact Meredith letting her know that Janet would be reaching out to her for facebook information.  4. Will reach out to the Colonial in August for potential future dates.
