Laconia Licensing Board 7/7/2021 - Minutes 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 12:02 PM by Chairman Jim Rogato. 2. Roll Call Chairman Jim Rogato, Chief Kirk Beattie, Captain Michael Finogle 3. Recording Secretary Hilary Young 4. Acceptance of minutes from previous meetings 4.A. Draft Minutes from June 2, 2021 Minutes of June 2, 2021 were reviewed by the board and accepted as presented. 5. Licensing Review 5.A. 2021 Motorcycle Week Vendors Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve all 2021 Motorcycle Week Vendors. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.B. 4th of July- Carolyn's Creame Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve both Carolyn's Creame's applications. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.C. 4th of July- Hibbert Ent Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to both Hibbert Ent applications. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.D. 4th of July- Makn Ends Meat Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Makn Ends Meat application for 4th of July. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.E. 4th of July- Ronald Chesley Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Ronald Chesley's 4th of July application. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.F. ENT- T-Bones and Cactus Jacks Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve T-Bones and Cactus Jacks application. Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Ronald Chesley's 4th of July application. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.F. ENT- T-Bones and Cactus Jacks Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve T-Bones and Cactus Jacks application. Chief Beattie stated that they may owe for a Master Alarm Box and would like their approval be contingent on receiving payment for outstanding balances with the Finance Department. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.G. IV- Mak'n Ends Meat Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Mak'n Ends Meat at 477 Province Rd. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 5.H. IV- Potts Harbor Lobster Inc Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Pott's Harbor Lobster Inc. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 6. New Business 6.A. ENT- Colonial Theatre Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve the Colonial Theatre's entertainment license. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 6.B. RAF- Easterseals Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve Easterseals raffle license. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 6.C. Use of Street- The Downtown Gym Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to approve The Downtown Gym's application. Licensing Clerk asked Captain Finogle if they had reached out regarding a road closure, Captain Finogle stated they had not. Motion was made with the request they contact the Police Department prior to event by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. 7. Other Business Chairman Rogato stated that he received a message from the Licensing Department regarding Mr. C's Taxi . He reached out to the concerned citizen and spoke to the daughter of who made the complaint. They were concerned over the cleanliness of the cabs. Citizen stated that the cab she was in was very dirty and had cigarettes' butts everywhere. Chairman Rogato stated the daughter will have her mother call him back and he has not heard from her since. He stated that we do not have inspections on cabs. 8. Unfinished Business 9. Adjournment Chairman Rogato entertained a motion to adjourn. Motion was made by Chief Beattie and seconded by Captain Finogle. Adjourned at 12:11 PM. seconded by Captain Finogle. Adjourned at 12:11 PM.
