B. Loughlin states there were no requested changes to the Minutes from May 3 and 17 so they are considered
those accepted.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
i. Continued Public Hearings
1. PL2017-0030SE
Downtown – Chamber of Commerce: Pumpkin Festival
K. Dunleavy makes motion to continue Pumpkin fest to July meeting seconded by C. Roffo. All voted in favor 5-
0.
2. PL2017-0057SE
Veteran’s Square – Celebrate Laconia
K. Dunleavy makes motion to continue Celebrate Laconia to July due to no new information, seconded by C.
Roffo. All voted in favor 5-0.
3. PL2017-0081SE
Opechee Park – July 4 celebration
B. Loughlin notes that July 4 Celebration is annotated twice on the agenda also in ii. 2.
Opened public hearing at 1213. No public present, open public hearing then closed at 1213. Discussed
fireworks being launched at running track. B Loughlin states they need Traffic Order for 4th of July, also need a
Certificate of liability. Event being held 8:00AM to Midnight. Opechee house will be open for public bathrooms
as well as Porta-Johns. Venders must also get all appropriate permits. C. Hebert motions to accept everything
that B. Loughlin just stated. All voted to approve 5-0.
ii. Public Hearings
1. PL2017-0075SE
Main /Pleasant Street – Downtown Parking Lot: Farmers Market
B. Loughlin states it’s the same plan as last year, the location will be Main St parking lot downtown, from June
through October, on Thursdays 2-7PM. Public hearing opened at 12:16PM, no comments and public hearing
was closed at 12:16PM. Same conditions of last year no overnight camping or parking, all waste must be
removed from site, no blocking of public right of ways of roads or signs, all food venders must comply the
NHSFMO Bulletin 2011, venders that do not comply will be removed from the site. Permits are required for any
type of propane tanks where applicable and electrical extension cords, standard code compliance. No
introduction of fats, oils, or grease into sanitary sewer system. All venders will be required to obtain all
applicable permits. We don’t have a copy of this year’s temporary traffic order, they must obtain that from the
City Council. Also they must obtain insurance due to being on City property. C. Hebert makes motion to
approve all of the conditions. All voted in favor 5-0.

915 N. Main Street – July 4 Celebration
This is a duplicate item as discussed previously will not be discussed.
