1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order at 12:06 pm by R. Mora
2. ROLL CALL
Members present: Amy Lovisek, Parks & Recreation; Krista Larsen, DPW; Nicholas Schwarz, Water
Department; Chief Kirk Beattie, Laconia Fire Department

5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS
5.1. March 4 2020 Special Events Technical Review Committee Minutes (PDF)
The Committee reviewed the minutes from the March 4, 2020 Special Events Technical Review
Committee meetings and they were accepted as presented.
6. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARINGS, CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This
Agenda Section Is For The Board To Continue The Public Hearing For The Applicant And The Public To
Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This
Time.
7. PUBLIC HEARINGS, POSSIBLE CONSIDERATION AND VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This Agenda
Section Is For The Board To Have A Presentation From The Applicant And Open A Public Hearing For The
Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote
At This Time.
7.1. PL2020-0091 Children's Auction Community Challenge Closing Ceremonies (PDF)
The Committee reviewed the application. The applicant is strongly encouraged to follow all guidelines set
forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and per the Governor’s Executive Order.
It was noted that, per Chapter 194; Article IV Special Event and Sanitation Fees, the applicant is
required to pay for trash disposal per the fee chart established in the section.
R. Mora opened the public hearing for application PL2020-0091 Children's Auction Community Challenge
Closing Ceremonies at 12:12 pm
With no one to speak for or against the application the public hearing closed at 12:12 pm
A. Lovisek made a motion to approve with conditions application PL2020-0091 Children’s Auction Closing
Ceremonies. Conditions to include:
• It is recommended that the applicant follow all CDC protocols and any orders set forth by the Governor
• Special event sanitation fees shall apply as outlined in Chapter 194; Article IV Special Event Sanitation
Fees; §194-26 Fees Established
N. Schwarz seconded the motion.
All in favor.
A. Lovisek made a motion to approve with conditions application PL2020-0091 Children’s Auction Closing

7.2. PL2020-0093 Riverside Duck Derby (PDF)
A. Lovisek noted that they have already received Parks and Recreation Approval.
This event typically falls under the Pumpkinfest umbrella, however, with the cancellation of Pumpkinfest
due to COVID-19, this event is standalone this year.
R. Mora opened the public hearing for application PL2020-0093 Riverside Duck Derby at 12:15 pm
With no one to speak for or against the application the public hearing closed at 12:15 pm
K. Larsen made a motion to approve application PL2020-0093 Riverside Duck Derby with the same
conditions as the Children’s Auction.
A. Lovisek seconded the motion.
All in favor.

At 12:16 PM A Lovisek made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
