1. CALL TO ORDER
Scott Pelchat called the Meeting to order at 12:04Pm
2. ROLL CALL
In attendance were Amy Lovisek, Tim Joubert, Hilary Young, Mike Finogle, and Nick Schwarz.

5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The previous months meeting minutes were accepted.
5.1. Special Events Review Committee Meeting
6. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARINGS, CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This
Agenda Section Is For The Board To Continue The Public Hearing For The Applicant And The Public To
Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This
Time.
6.1. Special Events Review Committee Meeting
PL2023-0077SE – Canal St. Block Party 8/19/2023 from 5PM to 9PM vendors DJ and food trucks.
Daniel from Vintage Vinyl spoke on behalf of his application for the block party. He described
the layouts as they stand currently and that the events held within the four-hour time block
would include an array of interactive events for all the event goers. Dan also touched on the
other businesses that would be involved with the block party including Good Natured, Defiant,
Trillium to name a few. As well a beer garden will be set up on Canal St. Which will be closed
to through traffic during the event. The committee inquired about restrooms, and they were
planning on providing some porta pottys as well as the in-house restrooms in the open
businesses. Tim J. from the fire dept. stated that on 8/3/2023 he would be doing an inspection to
allow for the assembly permit. Mike F. from the Police dept. inquired about wristbands for the
beer garden and if there would be id checks Daniel advised that this would happen. Water and
parks and rec had some questions for the applicant regarding locations and food trucks. Also,
DPW inquired on the Barricades for Canal St and where they would be placed prior to the
event. The committee then opened to the public comment at 12:17 PM and it was closed to the
public at 12:17PM. As there were no final questions for the applicant Scott P. sought a motion
and Nick S. from water motioned to grant the approval to allow the event and this was
seconded by Amy L. and was passed unanimously.

7.1. Special Events Review Committee Meeting
PL2023-0097SE – Laconia Motorcycle Week EZ Park 6/8/24-6/16/24 8AM to 11PM parking. The
applicant was not in attendance, and this is a returning event from prior years with no changes
to the event. It was opened to the public at 12:21PM and closed to the public at 12:21PM Scott
P. asked for a motion to Allow for this application to be Approved Amy L. Motioned to approve
the application and it was seconded by Mike F. and was passed unanimously.
