City of Laconia Minor Site Plan Wednesday, September 28, 2016 – 2:00 pm City Hall - Conference Room 200A Minutes Accepted November 30, 2016 I. Call to order Chair Wesley Anderson called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm. Kalena Graham will be recording this meeting and introduced the Board: Present: Deb Derrick, Assessing; Brandee Loughlin, Planning/Zoning; Al Graton, Police; Charlie Roffo, Fire; Cliff Jones, Code; and Chair Wesley Anderson, DPW. Absent: Craig Clairmont, Water Chair Wesley Anderson stated there are six (6) members, and a quorum is established. II. Continued Public Hearings III. Public Hearing a) Appl# PL2016-0083MSP 777 Union Ave MBL 367-220-34 Proposal to convert existing space to an educational center Chair Anderson opened the public hearing at 2:01 pm Applicant: Ryan Ordway spoke and noted his business partner is out of town and will drop off a packet of what is involved in the proposal. They intend to use pre- arranged scheduling so there will be no parking conflicts. They are currently a non- profit organization with a Wolfeboro name that will be changed to local name. Many schools are losing music programs and this will fill that void. This will be an all age facility but first will cater to younger students. Board comments: B. Loughlin stated that the use will be artist/craftsman studio. C. Jones stated if there are any renovations, a building permit will be needed. Chair Anderson stated from a DPW aspect, plumbing will need to be looked at since this is a change from the restaurant. No one from the public spoke for or against the application.  Chair Anderson closed the public hearing at 2:05 pm B. Loughlin made the motion to approve the application as proposed. C. Roffo seconded the motion. The motion passed 6-0. IV. Other business The minutes were accepted as presented. V. Adjournment D. Derrick made the motion to adjourn and B. Loughlin seconded the motion.
