City of Laconia Zoning Board of Adjustment Monday, December 18th, 2023 - 6:30 PM City Hall in the Armand A. Bolduc Council Chamber 12/18/2023 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Michael DellaVechia Called the meeting to order At 6:30PM 2. ROLL CALL In attendance Roland Maheu , Jane Laroche, Michael DellaVechia, Marcia Hayward , And Mike Foote. 3. RECORDING SECRETARY Scott Pelchat 4. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Scott Pelchat Zoning Technician 5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS The previous minutes were accepted unanimously 5.I. November 20th ZBA Minutes 6. EXTENSIONS 7. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARINGS, CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This Agenda Section Is For The Board To Continue The Public Hearing For The Applicant And The Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This Time. 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS, POSSIBLE CONSIDERATION AND VOTE Note: The Purpose Of This Agenda Section Is For The Board To Have A Presentation From The Applicant And Open A Public Hearing For The Public To Provide Input. The Board May Also Deliberate The Application, Decide And Conduct A Final Vote At This Time. 9. ZO2023-0111 VAR 32 Chapin Terrace Eric Buck , Philip Broullard , And Kevin Shaw spoke regarding the proposed project of the demolition and reconstruction of the house on the 32 Chapin Terrace property specifically the shoreline setback and the proposal that the new structure would be set back further from the water than the current structure. Phil then defined the variance criteria for the Shoreline setback using the Five criteria's. Michael DellaVecchia opened to the public at 7:14 PM and Mr and Mrs. Donnelly spoke in support of the project proposed by Mr Shaw. Marcia Hayward motioned to approve and it was seconded by Roland Maheu and it was unanimous. Eric Buck , Philip Broullard , And Kevin Shaw spoke regarding the proposed project of the demolition and reconstruction of the house on the 32 Chapin Terrace property specifically the shoreline setback and the proposal that the new structure would be set back further from the water than the current structure. ZO2023-0112VAR 32 Chapin Terrace Eric Buck , Philip Broullard , And Kevin Shaw spoke regarding the proposed project of the demolition and reconstruction of the house on the 32 Chapin Terrace property specifically the Greenspace Variance and the proposal that the new structure would be set back further from the water than the current structure. Phil then defined the variance criteria for the Shoreline setback using the Five criteria's. Michael DellaVecchia opened to the public at 7:14 PM and Mr and Mrs. Donnelly spoke in support of the project proposed by Mr Shaw. Marcia Hayward motioned to allow the variance and it was seconded by Jane Laroche and it was unanimous. 11. ZO2023-0113 VAR 32 Chapin Terrace Eric Buck , Philip Broullard , And Kevin Shaw spoke regarding the proposed project of the demolition and reconstruction of the house on the 32 Chapin Terrace property specifically the Front setback and the proposal that the new structure would be set back further from the water than the current structure. Phil then defined the variance criteria for the Shoreline setback using the Five criteria's. Michael DellaVecchia opened to the public at 7:14 PM and Mr and Mrs. Donnelly spoke in support of the project proposed by Mr Shaw. Marcia Hayward motioned to approve and it was seconded by Roland Maheu and it was unanimous. 12. ZO2023-0114 VAR 32 Chapin Terrace Eric Buck , Philip Broullard , And Kevin Shaw spoke regarding the proposed project of the demolition and reconstruction of the house on the 32 Chapin Terrace property specifically the Side setback and the proposal that the new structure would be set back further from the water than the current structure. Phil then defined the variance criteria for the Shoreline setback using the Five criteria's. Michael DellaVecchia opened to the public at 7:14 PM and Mr and Mrs. Donnelly spoke in support of the project proposed by Mr Shaw. Marcia Hayward motioned to approve and it was seconded by Jane Laroche and was unanimously approved. 13. OTHER BUSINESS 14. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 7:30 PM
