BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES July 9, 2013 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Ron Shriner, Norm Childress and Dawn Ross. Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the July 2, 2013 regular meeting. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed. BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT All Structure Demolition located at 1329 Central Street President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. NEW BUSINESS None CLAIMS Mike Jones, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $684,698.35. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions other than the ones that were asked and answered in caucus, there were none. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-2013 Boiler Bridge Walk President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for the 2013 Boiler Bridge Walk. The events will be held on September 6, 13 & 27, 2013, October 11, 2013 and November 1, 8, & 22, 2013 from 5:00pm-6:30pm on the John T. Meyer Bridge. President Henriott stated that a new certificate of insurance will need to be on file after the expiration date on September 30, 2013. Mrs. Ross moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
