BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES October 16, 2018 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Ron Shriner, Norm Childress and Amy Moulton. Absent: Cindy Murray Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the October 9, 2018 regular meeting. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. BID OPENING Lafayette Fire Department Storage Building This being the time set to open bids for the Lafayette Fire Department Storage Building, the following bids were received and opened: MAC General Contractors Lafayette, Indiana Base Bid: $288,978.00 Cheeseman, Inc. West Point, Indiana Base Bid: $274,154.00 Mr. Childress moved to take the bids under advisement for further review. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. 2018 Sewer Rehabilitation Project This being the time set to open bids for the 2018 Sewer Rehabilitation Project, the following bids were received and opened: Insituform Technologies Chesterfield, Missouri Base Bid: $485,771.00 MG Underground, LLC Brazil, Indiana Board of Public Works and Safety October 16, 2018 Page 2 Base Bid: $494,431.00 Inland Waters Pollution Control Detroit, MI Base Bid: $583,863.50 Granite Inliner Orleans, Indiana Base Bid: $836,685.00 Mr. Childress moved to take the bids under advisement for further review. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS None CLAIMS Tim Clary, Deputy Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $5,120,838.43. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
