BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES July 19, 2022 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Ron Shriner and Norm Childress. Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mr. Childress moved for approval of the minutes from the July 12, 2022 regular meeting. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT RFP’s for Lafayette Public Safety Center Signage Fabrication and Installation President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. Utility Emergency Repairs Program for 2022-2023 President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. QUOTE OPENING Guaranteed Savings Contract Proposal for Miscellaneous WWTP Improvements This being the time set to open quotes for the Guaranteed Savings Contract Proposal for Miscellaneous WWTP Improvements and the following quotes were received and opened: Bowen Engineering Indianapolis, Indiana Quote: $1,809,000.00 Mr. Shriner moved to take the quotes under advisement for further review. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety July 19, 2022 Page 2 Cason Street and 22nd Street Curb and Sidewalk Improvements This being the time set to open quotes for the Cason Street and 22nd Street Curb and Sidewalk Improvements and the following quotes were received and opened: Dixon Construction Lafayette, Indiana Quote: $83,743.00 Wise Choice Concrete Lafayette, Indiana Quote: $86,985.00 Pour Boys Concrete Brookston, Indiana Quote: $157,358.00 Mrs. Moulton moved to take the quotes under advisement for further review. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $8,048,934.71. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
