BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES October 14, 2025 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, and Ron Shriner. Absent: Eric Rody Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the October 7, 2025 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. QUOTES UNDER ADVISEMENT 2025 Road Crack Sealing President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. BID OPENING 2025 Greenbush Street Concrete Project, Phase 2 This being the time set to open bids for the Board of Public Works and Safety for the 2025 Greenbush Street Concrete Project, Phase 2 the following bids were received and opened: Case Construction. Edinburgh, Indiana Base Bid: $166,855.79 Dixon Construction Lafayette, Indiana Base Bid: $141,741.00 Milestone Contractor Lafayette, Indiana Base Bid: $ 274,889.00 Mrs. Murray moved to take the bids under advisement for further review. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety October 14, 2025 Page 2 NEW BUSINESS Legal Counsel Addendum #3-Almost Home Humane Society Lease Renewal Ms. Chosnek presented to the Board and recommended approval of Addendum #3 with Almost Home Humane Society Lease Renewal. Ms. Chosnek stated that this renewal extends the existing lease for the premises located at 1705 2nd Street through April 2, 2031. The addendum also updates provisions related to the use and maintenance of the leased premises. Ms. Chosnek went over the specifics of the changes. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Purchasing Declaration of Surplus Property-Police Department Dave Payne, Purchasing Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Police Department that includes: Year Make Model Color Serial Number 1998 Ford Ranger Blue 1FTYR10U4WUC13245 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Silver 2G2WR552661191955 2007 GMN Yukon Blue 1GKFK16327J259996 Mr. Payne stated that these vehicles will be traded in on an upcoming purchase. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $5,076,035.63. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-Greater Lafayette Indivisible March Lisa Dullum, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for Greater Lafayette Indivisible March to be held on October 18, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm located on the street surrounding the courthouse along with the John T. Myers Bridge. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Special Event Request-Jeff High School Marching Band Contest President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for the Jeff High School Marching Band Contest to be held on October 18, 2025 from 8:00am-11:00pm located on 22nd Street between Teal Road and Gregory Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety October 14, 2025 Page 3 Special Event Request-2025 Christmas Parade Molly Welch , Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for 2025 Christmas Parage to be held on December 6, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:30pm located on Main Street between 2nd Street to 11th Street along with additional staging areas downtown. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. 2026 Holiday Schedule Mrs. Murray presented to the Board and recommended approval of the 2026 Holiday Schedule. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed.
