LAFAYETTE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION NOVEMBER 9, 2022 Members present: Mike Thiel, President; Dave Knott, Vice President; Robert Siemers, Secretary; Eric Rody, and Laura Vanier The meeting was called to order by Mike Thiel. The minutes of October 121'\ 2022 were distributed. Laura Vanier moves to approve. Bob Siemers seconded. Motion carried. Mike Thiel moves to approve Resolution 22-01. Dave Knott seconded. Motion carried. Mike Thiel moves to table revisions to Commission Rules until the next session December 14, 2022 due to adding more revisions. Captain Brian Phillips gave an updated report on the department. Mike Thiel moves to set promotional exam dates as January 17 and 18, 2023. Laura Vanier seconded. Motion carried. The 2023 dates were distributed. Dave Knott moves to approve. Bob Siemers seconded. Motion carried. Bob Siemers moves to make Lieutenant Dan Long's promotion to Lieutenant permanent. Laura seconded. Motion carried. Notice of Executive Session for December 14, 2022 to receive information about, and interview prospective employees for the position of officer. The regular session meeting will be held immediately following the conclusion of the executive session. With nothing further to discuss Mike Thiel moves to adjourn. Dave Knott seconded.
