CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
October 2, 2025
It is noted that this meeting was held in person in the Emergency Operations Center at City
Hall and remotely via Zoom.
Councilmembers present (via Zoom): Tracy Furutani, Deputy Mayor; Larry Goldman, Vice Chair;
Paula Goode, Ashton McCartney, Semra Riddle, Ellyn Saunders. Cmbr. Jon Lebo
attended in person.
Staff present (in person): Tom French, Mayor; Phillip Hill, City Administrator; Matt McLean, City
Clerk
Others present: No other visitors
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor French called the October 2, 2025, special meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Deputy Mayor Riddle moved to approve the agenda. Vice Chair Goldman seconded.
The motion to approve the agenda as presented carried unanimously.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION, CONSIDERATION, AND/OR ACTION
Executive Session – Consideration of the acquisition of real estate purchase or lease pursuant
to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b)
Mayor French announced that they would be going into executive session at 6:01 p.m. for
approximately 28 minutes to discuss the acquisition of real estate purchase or lease, as per
RCW 42.30.110(1)(b).
Council returned from Executive Session at 6:28 p.m. and no action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
