City of Lake Forest Park – Climate Action Committee Meeting Minutes 11-4-2025: EOC and Virtually via Zoom 1 Climate Action Committee Members present: Chair Sarah Phillips, Vice Chair Anne Udaloy, 2 Miriam Bertram, Dana Campbell, Linda Holman, Brian Saunders 3 Staff and others present: Tracy Furtani Deputy Mayor, Yancey Bagby Senior Planner 4 5 Members of the Public present: None 6 7 Call to order: 5:35 PM 8 9 Approval of Meeting Agenda: Approved 10 11 Approval of Minutes: None 12 13 Public Comment:. None 14 15 Next meeting: None 16 17 Reports and Announcements: 18 19 Old Business: 20 21 Climate Change Hub offers of help from computer scientists in creating an interactive display and a 22 $20,000 grant. 23 24 New Business: 25 26 Discussion of presentation by Cacadia at the last council meeting. 27 28 Creation of climate hub 401C3 29 Recognition of past members 30 Reflection of past CAC work 31 Discussion of community outreach work done by CAC, surveys, regional partnerships, community 32 presence, methodologies, book club, what was accomplished, and what could have been improved 33 upon. 34 35 Things that were left undone: implementation, hiring of a climate manager, and school outreach. 36 37 The future of CAC was discussed with possibilities of continuing without reach, suspending until a 38 climate manager is hired, or disbanding. 39 40 Motion to dissolve CAC 41 Motion seconded 42 Unanimous vote to dissolve CAC by members present approved at 6:25 pm. 43 44 45 Sarah Phillips will inform Mayor and the council at the next council meeting and request 46 disbandment per Resolution NO. 1836 Section 3. DISBANDMENT. HOW TO PARTICIPATE WITH ORAL COMMENTS: If you are attending in person, there is a sign-in sheet located near the entrance to the room. Fill out the form and the presiding officer will call your name at the appropriate time. Oral comments are limited to 3:00 minutes per speaker. Oral comments are not being accepted via Zoom. ADOPTION OF AGENDA 4. REVIEW/APPROVE MEETING MINUTES A. Approval of CAC minutes 9-2-2025. 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS The Committee is not accepting online public comments. This portion of the agenda is set aside for the public to address the Committee on agenda items. However, the Committee may not respond to comments from the public. If the comments are of a nature that the Committee does not have influence over, then the Chair or presiding officer may request the speaker suspend their comments.
