16 Short Reflection: Mark Phillips shared a reflection on marcescence, when tree leaves die back in the
17 winter but do not fall to the ground.

28 Councilmember Goldman Update
29 Councilmember Goldman updates on community policing. Tree Board presentation to the council.
30 Recommendation for draft revision to the tree list.

33 Public Outreach Materials
34 City staff were unable to locate the outreach materials. Discussion of available outreach materials.
35 Staff indicated that there was a repository of pamphlets behind the city arborist's desk that could be
36 inventoried. Possibility of educational videos, QR codes, and news blasts. Interactive materials for
37 engagement. Whiteboard coloring, post-it note surveys.

39 Recommendations for pest-resistant trees
40 Pest-resistant tree species should be considered for the new tree list.

42 Arbor Day and Green Fair Planning
43 The Tree Board discussed Arbor Day planning in coordination with the Green Fair, including a
44 proposed tree walk on April 25th at 10:30 am, starting at City Hall. The Board discussed offering
45 free seedlings, news flash, flies, speakers, and coordinating tree plantings from 300 trees.
46 Potential for BRT tree removal replacements

1 King Conservation District
2 Grants will need to wait for the new urban forester. Rain Garden Grants from Chris Korwel.

4 Final approval of tree code housekeeping amendments.
5 Exceptional tree diameters. Amendment to LFPMC 16.14.040, 16.14.030, Read exceptional tree
6 code. Definition of the general tree list.

8 Motion to approve tree code amendments. Motion approved. 8:41 pm.

10 Motion to recommend that the urban forest planner bring the motion forward with the new tree list.
11 Motion approved. 8:42 pm.

The Tree Board is providing opportunities for public comment by attending in person to provide oral public
comment.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE WITH ORAL COMMENTS:
If you are attending in person, there is a sign-in sheet located near the entrance to the room. Fill out the
form and the presiding officer will call your name at the appropriate time. Oral comments are limited to
3:00 minutes per speaker. Oral comments are not being accepted via Zoom.
