Canvassing Board Meeting Minutes April 09, 2020 This meeting was conducted via teleconference. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 20-69, issued by the Office of Governor Ron Desantis on March 20, 2020, municipalities may conduct meetings of their governing boards without having a quorum of its members present physically or at any specific location, and utilizing communications media technology such as telephonic or video conferencing, as provided by Section 120.54(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes. 4/9/2020 - Minutes 1. Roll Call Members Present: Mayor Eugene Fultz, Commissioner Al Goldstein, City Clerk Jennifer Nanek Staff Present: Zailet Suri Deputy City Clerk 2. Minutes - April 7, 2020 Commissioner Goldstein made a motion to approve the minutes of April 7, 2020. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. 3. Review Of Provisional Ballots Two provisional ballots were reviewed. Voters #125413412 & #125413477 had cast votes by mail previous to Election Day. Commissioner Goldstein made a motion to reject these two ballots. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. 4. Certify Election Results The current results are for Commission Seat 5 District 28 Robin Gibson 898 63.24% 767 VBM 131 ED Bob Wood 522 36.76% 434 VBM 88 ED Commissioner Goldstein made a motion to accept the totals as the final election results. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. 5. Selection For Manual Audit Conducting a manual audit of the voting system used in the April 7, 2020 Municipal Election which shall include a tally of votes cast in a race that appeared on the ballot on Election Day. Via coin toss precinct 527 was chosen for a manual audit on April 14, 2020.
