MINUTES CITY OF LAKE WORTH BEACH CITY COMMISSION PRE-AGENDA WORKSHOP VIA ZOOM FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2026 – 9:00 AM The meeting was called to order by Mayor Resch on the above date at 9:03 AM via Zoom in Lake Worth Beach. ROLL CALL: Present were Mayor Betty Resch, Vice Mayor Mimi May and Commissioners Sarah Malega and Anthony Segrich. Also present were Interim City Manager Troy Perry, City Attorney Elizabeth Lenihan and Deputy City Clerk Shayla Ellis. Commissioner Christopher McVoy was absent. UPDATES / FUTURE ACTION / DIRECTION: Action: Consensus to add a new portion to the landscape code requiring a permit to cut down trees when a property is purchased. Action: Consensus to add the Overdose Awareness and Women’s Equality Day proclamations for Aug. 4 under presentations. Action: Consensus to discuss the service award from the city for Cindy Ansel in commission one-on-ones. Action: Consensus to have staff notify the commission of all meetings being held. Action: Consensus to have the staff revisit the aggressive panhandling ordinance. Action: Consensus to have staff review starting a Community Patrol/Ambassador program for downtown.
