A. Semi-Monthly Warrant Register Dated November 2, 2009, Totaling
$825,083.75. (Trustee Sprawka)
Recommended Action: Motion to approve the semi-monthly warrant
register dated November 2, 2009, totaling $825,083.75. (Roll Call Vote)
B. Echo, Inc. 400 Oakwood and 325 Telser Roads Amendment to the Zoning
Code Related to Loading Spaces and Docks facing Public Streets. (Trustee
Poynton)
Summary: On October 21, 2009 the Plan Commission held a public hearing
to consider applications for a Zoning Code text amendment from Echo, Inc.
to consider an amendment to Sections 10-102 and 24-102 of the Zoning Code
related to loading spaces and docks facing public streets. Echo, Inc. has
building frontages on all sides that face public streets. The proposed text
amendments define a “Loading Dock” and will allow for the placement of
loading docks facing a public street under certain conditions. After hearing
testimony and discussion the Plan Commission unanimously voted to
recommend to the Village Board approval of the requested text
amendments.
Recommended Action: Motion to approve “An Ordinance Amending Two
Sections of the Lake Zurich Zoning Code relating to Loading Docks and
Loading Spaces Facing Public Streets.” (Roll Call Vote) Assign Ord. #2009-
11-668.
C. Illinois Masonry Corporation, 200 Telser Road, Approval of Site Plans and
Exterior Appearance Plans. (Trustee Poynton)
Summary: On October 21, 2009 the Plan Commission held a public
meeting, to consider applications from Telser Road Partnership, LLC the
owner of 200 Telser Road. The applicant has filed applications seeking
approval of site plans and exterior appearance plans for a proposed addition
to the Illinois Masonry Corporation facility on the subject property. The
subject property currently is classified in the Village’s I-2 General Industrial
District pursuant to the Zoning Code, and the existing facility is a permitted
use in the I-2 District. Illinois Masonry previously was granted approvals
for the proposed addition, by Lake Zurich Ordinance No. 2002-10-192 and
Lake Zurich Ordinance No. 2007-07-505, but the Applicant has revised its
plans to reflect a smaller-sized addition. The proposed addition includes a
6,025-square-foot warehouse and storage building, along with a
reconfigured entrance into the subject property, with a proposed overhead
door to comply with height guidelines set in Section 10-102C2(e) of the
Zoning Code. The Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend to
the Village Board approval of the applications.
Recommended Action: Motion to approve “An Ordinance Approving Site
Plans and Exterior Appearance Plans for 200 Telser Road (Illinois Masonry
Corporation).” (Roll Call Vote) Assign ORD. #2009-11-669.
D. Lake Zurich Pines Subdivision Request for Letter of Credit Release.
(Trustee Sustich)
Summary: The Village received request from Jan Jozwiak, owner of Lake
Zurich Pines. The Public Works Department and Engineering Division
have inspected all site improvements and found them to be acceptable.
Recommended Action: Motion to release Letter of Credit #02-1110 in the
amount of $19,313.65. (Roll Call Vote)
E. Request for Purchase of Communications Equipment in the Amount of
$29,369.69. (Trustee Johnson)
Summary: The Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board is
providing funding to area PSAPs to purchase certain communications
equipment that fulfills the requirements of their 911 System Plan. The Lake
Zurich Communications Center (PSAP) uses a UHF radio frequency that
requires equipment to be replaced due to new FCC narrow-banding
requirements. Additionally, the Lake Zurich PSAP serves as a back-up
communications center for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The new
equipment will replace existing obsolete equipment. Radicom is the sole
source for this purchase, because of its ability to provide the equipment and
their maintenance relationship with the Police Department.
Recommended Action: Motion to authorize the purchase of communications
equipment from Radicom in the amount of $29,369.69 with funding from
Lake County ETSB. (Roll Call Vote)
