Approved VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH Well #12 ION EXCHANGE LOAN PROJECT PUBLIC HEARING JANUARY 8, 2007 Administrator Dixon called the meeting to order and opened the public hearing at 6:35 p.m. Present: Village Administrator John Dixon, Public Works Director/Engineer Dave Heyden, Assistant Public Works Director Bob Duprey, Engineer and Consultant Dave Talbott, Engineer Ravi Jayaraman, Clark-Dietz, and Mia Brown, interested party. Administrator Dixon indicated the hearing is being held in regard to Project # L172668 Well #12 Ion Exchange Treatment Facilities and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination (PEIA) as required by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). He turned the meeting over to Public Works Director/Engineer Heyden. Public Works Director/Engineer Heyden indicated there was an assessment done by the IEPA. He then reviewed the assessment dated December 5, 2006, completed by J. Geoffrey Andres, Manager, Infrastructure Financial Assistance Section, Bureau of Water, IEPA. In that letter, the IEPA indicated they plan to approve this project as meeting conditions and at the end of this hearing there will be a 15-day period for public comments. The total request for Well #12 is $1,801,180.00 which includes: Construction costs $1,521,600.00 Construction Contingency (5%) 76,080.00 Design Engineering Fees 103,500.00 Construction Engineering Fees (estimated) 100,000.00 This project completes the fourth of five wells that the Village is converting to Ion Exchange. There was a request for any comments from the public. Since there was no comment from the public, Administrator Dixon closed the hearing after stating the review period will be open for 15 days.
