APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH COMMUNITY AND POLICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE 70 E. Main Street, Lake Zurich October 14, 2009 at 7:30 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jim Schultz at 7:34 PM Present were Chairperson Schultz, and members William Benson, John Ridgeway, Commander David Bradstreet, Sgt. Tracey Goodyear, and Village of Lake Zurich Trustee Tom Poynton. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, August 12, 2009 MOTION was made by John Ridgeway, seconded by William Benson, to approve the meeting minutes of August 12, 2009. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED 3. Old Business A. Concorde Village Traffic Issue Jim Schultz indicated Mike Brown had traffic warning signs posted in the subdivision. No representative from Concorde Village attended the meeting. 4. New Business A. Stop Sign (Telser Road at Ensell Road) Motion was made by William Benson, and seconded by John Ridgeway, to monitor the traffic and review the issue again on February 10, 2010. The trees have been trimmed and new signs have been posted in an attempt to fix the problem. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED B. Park Avenue Dead End Motion was made by Jim Schultz, and seconded by John Ridgeway, to table the matter because the Village has a plan which may resolve the matter. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED C. Lake Property Owners Association (LPOA) – Swimming across the lake LPOA President Mark Ernst attended the meeting on behalf of the LPOA. He indicated it is dangerous for swimmers to swim across Lake Zurich and no law or ordinance currently prohibits it. Jim Schultz recommended Mark Ernst return with draft language for an ordinance on 12/09/09. Ernst indicated he would return to next meeting with draft language for an ordinance.  ADJOURNMENT MOTION was made by John Ridgeway, seconded by David Bradstreet, to adjourn the meeting.
