APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH COMMUNITY AND POLICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE 70 E. Main Street, Lake Zurich April 14, 2010 at 7:00 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Jim Schultz at 7:12 PM Present were Chairperson Jim Schultz, and members William Benson, Commander David Bradstreet, and Sergeant Tracey Goodyear. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, February 10, 2010 MOTION was made by William Benson, seconded by David Bradstreet, to approve the meeting minutes of February 10, 2010. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED 3. OLD BUSINESS - None. 4. NEW BUSINESS A. Barry Orgeron presented information related to the need for a three-way stop on Old Mill Grove Road at Brittany Road. He indicated vehicles speed through the area, use Brittany Road as a shortcut from Old Mill Grove Road to Bristol Trail Road, and drivers turn in the wrong lane from Old Mill Grove Road onto Brittany Road. William Elliott presented information against installing stop signs on Old Mill Grove Road at Brittany Road. He indicated he has lived in the area for over 30 years and nothing has changed to warrant putting up stop signs. He made reference to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices which provides information on what is required to install stop signs. The Traffic Safety Unit of the Police Department will conduct a traffic study and present the information at the next CPAC meeting. 5. ADJOURNMENT MOTION was made by William Benson, seconded by Dave Bradstreet, to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote, AYES have it.
