approved VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH PARK AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD FEBRUARY 14, 2011 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:37 p.m. Roll Call: Present - Chairperson Judi Thode, Board Members Jeff Carey, Michael Karija, and Jan Papa. Excused – Dawn Brazier, Kevin Koch, and Mary Mihelic. Staff present - Park and Recreation Director Perkins and Asst. Village Administrator Witherow. 2. Approval of Minutes: MOTION made by Dawn Brazier, seconded by Kevin Koch, to approve the minutes of the November 9, 2010 Park Advisory Board as submitted. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION made by Jeff Carey, seconded by Dawn Brazier, to approve the minutes of the November 17, 2010 Special Park Advisory Board as submitted. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED. 3. Public Appearances: - None 4. Items for Review/Recommendation: A. Open Space & Recreation Master Plan – Presentation by Norris Design Consultants 5. Director’s Report A. LZBSA Sponsor Banners at Ball Fields Director Perkins said LZBSA has an application before the Zoning Board of Appeals to allow them to put up sponsorship banners. B. Park Improvement Fund Report Reviewed by Director Perkins. A contribution in the amount of $50,000 had been received from Lake Zurich Meadows Senior Housing. Mike Karija requested a report that did not include historical data. C. Fireworks – 2011 Event and display scheduled for Sunday, July 13. Sponsors are being sought, but there are none at this time.
