Tree Commission Meeting Minutes November 15, 2007 Approved A. Roll Call: Shawn Walkington Chairperson, Commissioner Al Froehde, Commissioner Scott Garrison B. Approval of Minutes: It was moved by Commissioner Garrison and seconded by Commissioner Walkington to approve the minutes of the September 17, 2007 meeting C. Ordinance Update: The Commission discussed other ways of notifying the residents of the new ordinance. We are going to try to get it on the Village of Lake Zurich website and in the water bill. There was also a discussion on documentation. The applications will be kept on computer program to keep track of number of applications and amount of time spent on inspections. D Budget: Commission discussed needs for next year’s budget and money that is available. E. New Business: Tree Commission discussed what night’s meetings would be on for the 2008 year. Meetings will be either on Monday or Thursday. Commissioner Froehde mentioned the Park Dept will be contracting a company to do restoration at Oak Ridge Marsh. Tree commission discussed Plan reviews and if we were getting responses back from the developers. Commissioner Garrison asked about the maintenance of the trees at Paulus Park that were affected by construction. Commissioner Garrison requested that a consultant come in to set up a maintenance plan for all trees in the construction area. F. Adjourn: 8 PM Submitted by: Shawn Walkington Arborist
