Approved VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH Tree Commission Meeting Minutes January 21, 2008 A. Roll Call: Present Shawn Walkington Chairperson, Commissioner Al Froehde, Commissioner Harper and Commissioner Kozub. Absent Scott Garrison B. Approval of Minutes: It was moved by Commissioner Froehde and seconded by Commissioner Harper to approve the minutes of the December 20, 2007 meeting. C. Forestry Goals and objectives: Tree Commission revisited goals from January 2005. Tree growth award was discussed and possible eligible activities. Also discussed was meeting with Park Advisory Board to discuss Park tree maintenance. Commissioner Walkington will contact Mike Perkins, Parks Director, to set up a meeting with them. The Tree Commission would like to meet with the new Village Board members and introduce ourselves and discuss some of our goals. Arbor Day activities were discussed and a tree will be planted at Paulus Park. The Tree Commission would like to see the Village tree inventory added to GIS. Tree Commission will put together outline of objectives for February meeting to discuss with the Village Board. Tree commission would like to know the status of 08’-09’ budget. Discussion of entering an agreement with a tree nursery to set aside trees specifically for Village of Lake Zurich. D. New Business. No new business E. Adjournment.
