APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH TREE COMMISSION 505 Telser Road, Lake Zurich June 7, 2011 7:00 PM A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Garrison at 7 PM B. ROLL CALL-Present were Chairman Garrison, Tony Harper, Jim Mihelic, Toni Rey and Village Liaison Shawn Walkington. Absent Mary Kozub C. PUBLIC COMMENT- None D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, May 3, 2011– Commissioner Rey motioned to accept the May 3 , 2011 meeting minutes. Commissioner Mihelic seconded. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED. E. OLD BUSINESS- Chairperson Garrison said that Judi Thode will be replacing Commissioner Harper. Commissioner Mihelic provided a summary of Arbor Day celebration and suggestions for next year’s event. F. TREE PRESERVATION- Chairperson Garrison wants to go over ordinances for Tree Preservation. He would like to refine enforcement procedures for construction sites. G. EMERALD ASH BORER – Chairperson Garrison and Liaison Walkington attended Village of Lake Zurich board meeting where Emerald Ash Borer plan was presented to the board. The board accepted the plan, but would like to see a work plan implemented. Liaison Walkington will be putting together a work plan. H. NEW BUSINESS- None I. ADJOURNMENT – MOTION was made by Commissioner Mihelic, seconded by Commissioner Rey to adjourn the meeting. Voice votes, AYES have it.
