PUBLIC COMMENT:N/A NEW BUSINESS: « Opened with “what would be your dj name?” Ice breaker prompted by Angel. e« City of Lacey Youth Summit attendeeslist was made, and the people willing/can participate are: Lui, Violet, Kasia, Reinida, Kaitlyn, Angel, and Dylan. (Transportation unfortunately cannot be provided by Shannon or COL soit is up to personal will.) « Food for youth summit was brought up; request was Chipotle, Jimmy Johns, Main Squeeze Lemonade, Coffee truck and other vendors.  « Raffle prizes that were discussed were electronics, squishmellos but we agreed to focus on that for the next meeting. e Shannon presented members with 2 photo booth vendors. Members will decide on a vendor during the March 18th meeting. e« Guests from the City of Lakewood Human Resource Department (Carlina, Tracy, Mary, and Hannah) talked about their path to HR and gave advice on payroll, new hire(s), policies, work accommodation, safety, recruitment, interviews, negotiation, contracts, employmentissues. « Updates on guest for the youth summit: ¢ political advocacy: Dylan has not heard back. « College prep: Ashley stiles is appreciated but as a council we have.shifted away and Jacquline will contact Palmer Scholars and seeif they are willing/able to come. « Confidence building: Louisa Burns has shown interest in helping us but will update us on her availability; Kevin Rupprecht has not been contacted. e Grant Twyman cannot makeit as our emcee, so ideas are appreciated. Shannon approached Jordan Jones with Communities in Schools. Waiting for his confirmation. e« Youth are interested in seeing if there can be more internship/summer programs. e Shannon will email us a volunteer opportunity for the Lakewood Multicultural Coalition Dr. Claudia Thomas Gala.
