Lanesboro City Council Special Meeting Tuesday, July 12, 2022 4:00 p.m. Lanesboro Community Center Meeting Room Call to order the Special Council Meeting: A. The meeting will be closed due to Attorney-Client privilege to discuss threatened and pending litigation per Minn. Stat. 13D.05 Subd 3B. Subject has filed notice with the City of intent to file suit, but has not yet filed in District Court under Minn. Stat. 429.081. We are discussing litigation and negotiation strategies based on the information contained in the Objection and Notice. Absolute confidentiality is necessary as open discussion of this threatened and pending litigation could reveal the City's strategy or jeopardize any potential resolution regarding the City's response. B. The meeting will be closed due to Attorney-Client privilege to discuss active litigation per MN Statute 13D.05 Subd 3B. Subject has filed suit against the City under the Clean Water Act. We are discussing litigation and negotiation strategies based on the information contained in the Complaint and information received from opposing counsel. Absolute confidentiality is necessary as open discussion of this active litigation and negotiation could reveal the City's strategy or jeopardize any potential resolution regarding the City's response.
