Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 48 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 6:20PM Members present: David Milam (Chair), Sandy Novick, Beth Young Members absent: Jean Allais, Becki Burman There was a quorum present at all times. Staff Present: Mary Murrieta, Kathleen Wickersham City Council Liaison: Lee Kempert (absent) 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 2-A. AGENDA: Changes and Approval of Agenda for August 16, 2012 meeting. MOTION BY NOVICK, second by Young, to approve the Agenda for August 16, 2012 as written. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 2-B. MINUTES: Thursday, July 19, 2012, Laramie Board of Health Minutes MOTION BY YOUNG, second by Novick, to approve the Minutes from the July 19, 2012 Board of Health meeting, as written. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3. DISCLOSURES None 4. NEW BUSINESS 4-A. Review of Monthly Inspections i. July 13, 2012 – August 9, 2012 4-B. Complaints- Updates Board member had shared several complaints at the July 19, 2012 meeting. Murrieta gave updates on the complaints and the Board Members discussed the issues. Laramie Jubilee Days Wrap-up Meeting Murrieta mentioned to the Jubilee Day’s Committee that the food vendors should be moved away from the dumpsters and portable toilets. Hopefully changes will be made for next year. 4-D. Pools Murrieta closed several pools recently and has been referring the establishments to the State Pool Rules these rules are also available on line. She noted that general pool maintenance is lacking and that job turnover could be the issue. 5. DATE OF NEXT REGULAR MEETING The next regular meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 20, 2012. Include these items on the next agenda: 1. Ideas on how to spend the $2,500.00 from FDA 2. Murrieta is invited to a Public Hearing in Cheyenne regarding Food Regulation Updates 6.
