Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 48 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 6:17 PM Members present: Jean Allais, Becce Ford, David Milam (Chair), Aaron Taff, Beth Young Members absent: None There was a quorum present at all times. Staff Present: Mary Murrieta, Kathleen Wickersham City Council Liaison: Lee Kempert (present) 2. ELECTION FOR OFFICERS FOR 2014 2-A. Chairman MOTION BY YOUNG, seconded by Allais, to elect David Milam as Chairman of the Board of Health. Aye: 4 (Milam abstained) Nay: 0 Motion carried. 2-B. Vice-Chairman MOTION BY MILAM, seconded by Taff, to elect Beth Young as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Health. Aye: 4 (Young abstained) Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 3-A. AGENDA: Changes and Approval of Agenda for January 23, 2014 meeting. MOTION BY TAFF, second by Allais, to approve the Agenda, as written. Aye: 5 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3-B. MINUTES: Thursday, October 17, 2013, Board of Health Minutes MOTION BY YOUNG, second by Taff, to approve the October 17, 2013 Board of Health Minutes as written. Training 4-A. Wyoming Public Documents and Open Meeting Act This item was postponed until the April 17, 2014 meeting. 5. DISCLOSURES None 6. BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 6-A. Overview i. Board of Health Board of Health is set by State Statue. The Board is charged with adopting rules and regulations for the following: a. Pools and Spas b. Food Regulation c. Tattoo Establishments d. Lodging Facilities ii. Environmental Health Specialist’s Tasks a. Food Establishment Inspections i. Food Borne Investigations b. Regulate Tattoo Establishments c. Pool and Spa Inspections d. Regulate and Inspect Lodging Facilities (On complaint base only) e. Board of Health Meetings and information f. Answer and investigate general public health concerns i. Public restrooms ii. Rentals with mold 6-B. Review of Monthly Inspections i. November 15, 2013 – December 12, 2013 ii. December 13, 2013 – January 09, 2014 The Board reviewed and discussed the establishments on the monthly inspection reports. OLD BUSINESS 6-C. New Great Wall – Update Laramie Board of Health January 23, 2014 Page 2 of 3  6-D. Tattoo Regulations - Update Staff will provide the Board with a copy of the current Tattoo Regulations to review and be ready to discuss and possibly approve at the next meeting. 7.
