Laramie Advisory Commission on Disabilities Zoom 5:00-6:00 pm February 2, 2023, Special Meeting Minutes Members Present: Katie Harmon, Emmalee Moore, Gabriela Salas, Sam Burkett, Cynthia Smith, JoCarol Ropp Absent Members: Michelle Blakely, Michaela Rank Council Liaison: Erin O’Doherty Staff Liaison: Patti Russell/Dani Lake Guests: Katie called meeting to order at 5:00 pm. I. ROLL CALL II. Approval of Minutes A. Michaela made motion to approve amended minutes. B. Katie seconded. C. Carried with voice vote. III. Approval of Agenda A. Michaela made motion to approve amended agenda. B. Katie seconded. C. Carried with voice vote. IV. OLD BUSINESS A. Snow Removal Updates i. Katie talked to Tim Snowbarger with Laramie Connections. There is a gentleman with heavy equipment who wants volunteer hours. Laramie Connections fills in the gaps. Discussion of having him present to the board, maybe Council, on the services they provide. ii. Create a list of volunteers iii. Council is discussing “Snow Angels” V. NEW BUSINESS A. Discussion for March Disability Awareness Month i. Katie and JoCarol were going to reach out to the libraries to see if they could put up a display  ii. Discussion on having a booth at the Farmer’s Market during Jubilee Days, give out lanyards, stickers, bookmarks iii. Put a GoPro on Sam – “Day in the life” iv. Sam would like to take photos with captions, “what’s wrong with these photos?” v. Proclamation for the first March Council Meeting B. Katie motioned to approve activities discussed. C. Sam seconded. D. Carried with voice vote. VI. Next meeting will be a regular meeting on March 2nd, 2023. VII. ADJOURNMENT at 6:00 pm.
