City Council Special Meeting Thursday, October 05, 2023, 6:00 pm 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order by Mayor Pro Tem Kantor at 6:00 pm 2. Roll Call Present: Mayor Garrett, Mayor Pro Tem Kantor, Councilmember Jennings, Councilmember Kenez, Councilmember Miller Staff Present: Interim Administrator Pamela Bratschi, City Clerk Kelda London 3. Pledge of Allegiance 4. Approval of Agenda Councilmember Jennings moved to approve the agenda, Councilmember Miller seconded motion. Yes: Jennings, Kenez, Miller, Kantor No: None Motion carried. 5. Public Comments for Items on the Agenda (Speakers are limited to 3 minutes) None 6. Action Requests - For Consideration / Approval A. Joyce Parker - Administrator Search Joyce Parker from the Michigan Municipal League presented the Council with information about the posting of the City Administrator Position. The Michigan Municipal League posted the position and there was a total of ten (10) resumes received. Two of the candidates were from outside of Michigan. Each resume was evaluated based on the criteria that the Council established. Based on the interviews and criteria presented to the Council are the three strongest candidates that may be a good fit for the community. 274000 Southfield Rd | Southfield, MI 48076 | 248.557.2600 | www.lathrupvillage.org  Motion by Kantor to interview the three candidates presented by the MML and to continue the process should the Council not be satisfied. Councilmember Jennings seconded the motion. Yes: Kenez, Garrett, Jennings, Kantor No: Miller Motion carried. Council set Monday, October 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. for City Administrator interviews. 7. Public Comment None 8. Mayor and Council Comments Mayor Pro Tem Kantor received calls that voicemail boxes were full. He reminded the Council and city staff to clear voicemails so that residents could contact us when necessary. 9. Adjourn Mayor Pro Tem Kantor moved to adjourn the meeting, Councilmember Jennings seconded the motion.
