City Council Study Session Draft Minutes Monday, July 25, 2022, at 6:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order by Mayor Garrett at 6:00 p.m. 2. Discussion Items A. Remote Meeting Access for Public Participation LVTV Producer Jim Nelson will provide council with a an in-depth cost analysis of all the options to continue to provide meeting access for full public participation. B. Sidewalk Replacement Program - Asphalt Driveways The year 2 sidewalk project discovered 11 properties that are not in compliance with the ordinance because they are asphalt instead of concrete as the ordinance requires. It is not known why this has not been discovered before, but those 11 properties will need to be brought into compliance. C. Regular Meeting Agenda Items None 3. Public Comments (speakers are limited to 3 minutes) Kathy Mayfield – Standing water in the construction zones Sharon Abraham – 2022 road project, police presence for speeders 4. Mayor and Council Comments Mayor Garrett expressed concern regarding speeding and asked Chief Mckee to investigate options for speed bumps. Councilmember Kenez expressed concern regarding hanging branches of the stop signs. Councilmember Miller requested an update on the water loss issue. He asked that the hanging basket at the corner of Sunnybrook and Southfield Rd be moved as to not obstruct the view when turning onto Southfield Rd. He also asked for an update on Tringali blocking traffic issue. 5. Adjourn Motion by Councilmember Jennings to adjourn the meeting.
