Planning Commission Meeting Minutes Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 7:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order a 7:03 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Roll Call Commissioners Present: Jason Hammond, Chair Les Stansbery, Vice Chair Wil Fobbs, Secretary Commissioner Dizik Commissioner Powell , Absent: Commissioners Kantor and Tamarelli Staff Present: Susan Stec, Community and Economic Development Manager, Kelda London, City Clerk, Also Present: Eric Pietsch, Giffels Webster Engineering Commissioner Stansbery moved to excuse Commissioners Kantor and Tamarelli. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fobbs. Motion carried. 4. Approval of Agenda Commissioner Stansbery moved to approve the agenda as written. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fobbs. Motion carried. 5. Approval of Meeting Minutes PC Minutes 2023 02 21 Commissioner Dizik moved to approve the meeting minutes of 03-21-23. Motion seconded by Commissioner Stansbery. New Business A. 2023 - 2028 Capital Improvements Plan (draft) Eric Pietsch of Giffels Webster gave a brief overview of the Capital Improvement Plan for years 2023-2028. The plan is similar to last year; just reviewing it to determine if items need to remain in the plan if it’s been completed, or has a different status. Eric guided the Commission through each department to get feedback to continue to move forward with the plan. Administrative – Camera’s for LVTV DPS Most items are carryovers DDA Sidewalk and alley infrastructure Parks and Rec Carry over from last year with park improvement targeted for 2025. Police Most items on the list are for improvements in 2025. Taking into consideration the near future. Road Eldorado gravel road conversion resident special assessments district to convert the road to pavement. And most other items from the roads are carryovers. Water The city remains committed to improving water leaks and water loss. Commissioner Stansbery moved to set a public hearing for the review of Capital Improvement Plan for April 18, 2023. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fobbs. motion carried. 9. Other Matters for Discussion A. Development Project Updates Susan Stec provided an update on for following projects Zoning Board of Appeals request for LP Petro (BP gas station), they are scheduled to appear before the ZBA in April.
