COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG September 28, 2017 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Moore, and Council Member Williams . Mayor Durham was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2017 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Council Member Fox to cancel the regular meeting of the board on October 12, 2017. Motion received a second from Council Member Moore. Motion passed. The Council will hold a Special Called Meeting on October 13 to approve the bids for Lawrenceburg Parks and Recreation Department ADA Improvements. City Administrator, Chris Shaffer advised the Council of the hiring of Ty McDow, the October 19 Health Fair, the increase of employees dental insurance rates and the Public Hearing tonight at 5 PM on the TAP Grant for North Military Avenue. Police Chief responded to the question by City Council Member Sevier as to how the new fair traffic rules were going. He is very pleased with how well the new traffic flow and parking is going. He thanked everyone involved in creating the plan and thanked the public for being so cooperative. ORDINANCE NUMBER 1213 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 1090 ENTITLED, “PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS” FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE; TITLE 4, CHAPTER 2, SECTION V. BENEFITS: B. HOLIDAYS, OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE – First Reading Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO REQUEST BIDS FOR MILLING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG WITH THE BID SPECIFICATIONS TO CONTAIN THE STREET TO BE MILLED Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Moore. Meeting adjourned.
