COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG October 14, 2021 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. Meeting was not held electronically. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, Mayor Lay, Council Member Fox, and Council Member Moore. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the September 23, 2021 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials for August, 2021 were accepted PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE 1322 & 1324 – With no one wishing to address the Council on these ordinances, the Public Hearing closed. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1322 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Final Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1323 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1293 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2020-2021FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE PARKS DEPARTMENT GENERAL FUND. Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1324 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE 789 OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG BY DELETING SECTION 7.070 I, 2.b (1) IN ITS ENTIRETY AND REPLACED WITH A NEW SECTION 7.070 I, 2.b (1) Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PUBLIC ENTITY PARTNERS JAMES L. RICHARDSON DRIVER SAFETY PARTNERS MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (EMA) AS SURPLUS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
