DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES Monday, July 13, 2020 Council Assembly Room 6:30 PM 70 S. Clayton St, GA 30046 Call to Order Chairman Merritt called the meeting to order at 6:31 pm after recognizing a quorum. PRESENT Board Member Victoria Jones Board Member Linda Nash Board Member Katrina Fellows Board Member Jeremy Higginbotham Board Member Lee Merritt Board Member Donald Thrower Approval of Agenda Motion to approve agenda made by Board Member Jones, Seconded by Board Member Higginbotham. Voting Yea: Board Member Jones, Board Member Nash, Board Member Fellows, Board Member Higginbotham, Board Member Merritt, Board Member Thrower. Downtown Development Business 1. Approval of July 2020 Treasurer’s Report Board Member Nash presented the July 2020 Treasurer's Report to the Board.  Barry Mock, Assistant City Manager and Secretary for the Board noted that $500 has been transferred to the Downtown Development Authority escrow account from the City of Lawrenceville to cover wire fees. Barry is working with the bank to have the fees removed or decreased since there will be so many of wire transfers over the next several weeks. Motion to approve the July 2020 Treasurer's Report made by Board Member Fellows, Seconded by Board Member Jones. Voting Yea: Board Member Jones, Board Member Nash, Board Member Fellows, Board Member Higginbotham, Board Member Merritt, Board Member Thrower. Mainstreet Business Chairman Merritt mentioned that Board Member Fellows will be the liaison for the Downtown Development Authority Board with Mainstreet. Barry Mock mentioned that in a recent Atlanta Journal & Constitution (AJC) article they recognized four cities in Gwinnett County that completed the strenuous review process and earned Mainstreet America accreditation. The four cities are Auburn, Braselton, Lawrenceville, and Suwanee. Other Business Chairman Merritt updated the Board on upcoming training possibilities, dates are being worked out. Board Members signed their Mainstreet commitment letters.
