Lawrenceville Arts Commission Master Plan Aura-Leigh provided an update on the Master Plan. She has put together a document in the shared drive and added notes from the meeting she and Casey attended in Montgomery. She had some discussion with Purpose Possible, which is a nonprofit consulting group, similar to the group that worked on the Honest Alley project. They have worked with Georgians for the Arts, and are experienced with working with non-profits. Aura-Leigh will work with Jasmine on an Request For Proposal (RFP) if necessary. Explore Gwinnett still has funds they are holding that can possibly be used on the Master Plan. 5. Magnolias Community Mural Update – Georgia Gwinnett College The mural is already in progress. The artist has primed the wall and started the "doodle grid". Students have signed up for times to paint, and the group discussed the reception and parking details, and a map will need to be sent to the participants along with their confirmation e-mails. Additional logistics were discussed, including the need for parking signage. Alice indicated that the President of GGC is supposed to make an appearance at the Artist Talk, and she will probably want to make some comments. Alice is preparing comments for her, including how the City is involved and has included the college in this project. Aura- Leigh will draft a run of show and will contact the President to ask if she will stay around for a little while after her comments. Alice made a flyer to help spread the word, and they discussed other ways to include the flyer at the different schools. Members should arrive by 3:00 pm to assist Alice on reception set up, which will be outside of the meeting room. Name tags were discussed again. They would like them so the public will know who the Arts Commission members are. Casey will make name tags for the members to wear during the mural painting.
