RECAST ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES Wednesday, September 24, 2025 Third Floor GwMA Conference Room 6:00 PM 70 S. Clayton St, GA 30046 Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm, recognizing a quorum. Presentations will be limited to two (2) minutes per person, and the Board will not respond to comments. No public comments were offered. General Discussion ReCAST General Program Update ReCAST Program Manager Marcus Thorne offered updates regarding program progress. 1. The Notice of Award has been received, committing SAMHSA funding for Year 5 of ReCAST. 2. Marcus briefly shared the anticipated ReCAST Year 5 budget, including sub-recipient allocations. He also shared that the ReCAST team is currently in conversation with City leadership regarding what program aspects (if any) may be continued once SAMHSA ReCAST funding ends. 3. RFP Updates: A. ReCAST Year 4 Mini-Documentary -- the mini-documentary is complete, and our social media push has begun (helps with sustainability) B. PhotoVoice Project -- two intro sessions have been scheduled (9/25 and 9/30), with a showcase scheduled for November (counting toward our TR1) C. Youth-led Kingian Nonviolence Training -- the training occurred on 9/19 at Central Gwinnett HS; this training counts toward our TR1 4. Regarding ReCAST training deliverables: The workforce development indicator, WD2, has not yet been achieved; the View Point Health training has scheduled one additional training for 9/29 to seek additional trainees. Two Community Connections workshops were held at Discovery High School, one on 9/10 and another on 9/24. 5. ReCAST Banners have been lifted at both Central Gwinnett and Discovery High Schools, amplifying the reach of mental health services provided through View Point Health.
