RECAST ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, January 28, 2026 Third Floor GwMA Conference Room 6:00 PM 70 S. Clayton St, GA 30046 Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:25, recognizing a quorum. The Secretary asked for a moment of silence in his honor. Public Comments To participate in the Public Comment part of this agenda, you must register with the Advisory Board Secretary before the beginning of the meeting. Presentations will be limited to two (2) minutes per person, and the Board will not respond to comments. General Discussion Collaborator Update: Long Table Consulting Long Table Consulting President, Linnea Miller, shared updates regarding ReCAST Community Connections. Board Member Coni Brown remarked on the significant change Lawrenceville has experienced over the years. She said that initiatives like Community Connections had contributed to it. ReCAST General Program Update Program Manager Marcus Thorne provided updates regarding: * Progress toward grant deliverables -- while some elements are in the planning stage, each element is either underway or being planned for completion prior to the grant's year-end. Specifically, 1) a mini-documentary vendor has been selected; Marcus offered much gratitude to Members Teonna Dorsey and Coni Brown, and also toward the City's communications department; 2) Together 4 Wellness is scheduled for May 15, and planning has begun; 3) Trauma-informed training outreach has begun; feedback is being sought from LPD. *ReCAST Awareness Progress -- a collaborative behavioral health promotion has been planned, and draft collateral has been developed. Marcus sought feedback from members regarding the three designs. Additionally, a draft year-end ReCAST results card was shared. Member Chanda Floyd- Bryant encouraged that the card be translated into Spanish. A member asked about the ReCAST impact in the Latino community. He committed to working with the data evaluator to determine whether our data can be disaggregated to demonstrate that impact. *Outreach and event updates -- Marcus shared his recent outreach events, which included Lawrenceville Elementary School, tabling at a Village of Hope Event (Christmas Extravaganza), and Phoenix High School. Member Coni Brown encouraged Marcus to connect with additional local churches. Other Business No other business was discussed.
